- A place where you can have a hangover free drink in a hangover free environment.
Backstory: Two years ago, Savannah Rainey and Lisa Eubanks quit drinking and decided they needed a place in Atlanta where they could enjoy creative, non-alcoholic craft cocktails other than Virgin Shirley Temple and Sprite.
- Additionally, the experience needed a special night out atmosphere, Eubanks told Axios.
detail: Last year, Rainey and Eubanks opened Zilch. It’s 7-10 craft cocktails, plus canned cocktail options like Phony Negronis, food, board games, and a roving pop-up for conversation starters. Mixers, bitters and other ingredients are also sold.
- “We try to create an atmosphere where people feel comfortable and can talk to other people,” Eubanks told Axios. “We’re not trying to focus on just being sober. It’s a fun space to meet new people and make connections.”
What’s next: Zilch is hosting a ticketed Valentine’s Day themed event with food from The Cake Pharmacy at Kirkwood’s Taproom Coffee.
- The team is looking for a space to open a brick-and-mortar concept by the end of 2023.
