Air India is banning passengers from drinking their own alcohol on international flights purchased from airport duty-free shops, in a bid to curb a spate of disruptive incidents of unruly passengers.
The ban on drinking alcohol is part of a new alcohol policy that was hastily introduced following the now infamous “pee gate” incident in which an intoxicated business class passenger urinated on an older passenger.
