New Year’s Holiday: Don’t drink and drive

DELMARVA – There are only two days left of the New Year, so there’s only one more day of festivities.

Local officials are encouraging residents to stay safe on the streets while drinking, don’t drink and drive and take care. There are 0.07 DUIs considered DUI and 0.08 DUIs considered DUI.

47 ABC spoke with a local sheriff who said they patrol to protect the community. “We will see vacationers. Of course, more vehicle movement means more movement for collisions and other things to happen, so our agents will ensure the safety of our residents. and visitors,” said Worcester County Sheriff Matt Chrisafri.

47 ABC spoke with a local attorney who said it was best to tell the truth once you parked your car. He notes that these types of calls can come at any time of the day or night, but for now, stay calm and be polite to the police.

Lawyer Luke Rommel explains how much it costs to drive drunk. “You would definitely be looking at over 1000. You would be looking at probation fees. They could be almost $100 a month. You would be looking at fines for court costs.” They can run into the hundreds of dollars, said Rommel & Associates attorney Luke Rommel.

He also says he looks at the costs associated with alcohol classes along with locking your car’s ignition. I agree that calling Uber or Lyft is best.
