Christmas may be next weekend, but Calumet has festivities all month long. This weekend ends the good times in the December village. If you don’t get to ride in the carriage or meet Santa, Saturday might be your last chance before he’s packed with presents.
“The weather is mild and we may get some fresh snow on Saturday. Great for sledding with Santa at Green Space, 300 blocks from Calumet. Frozen Farms is free for all kids! is hosting a hot cocoa bar in. Even in the last few weeks I’ve seen some really great lists, cards and booklets handed out to Santa. I know there is.” – Leah Polzin Executive Director Main Street Calumet
Polzin added that Christmas time at Calumet is magical, always surrounded by friends and family. Christmas in Calumet has been a tradition in the village for many years, and each year Calumet on Main His Street seeks to bring that classic Christmas atmosphere downtown. In addition to meeting Santa and taking a sleigh ride through downtown Calumet, visitors this weekend can also enjoy ice skating, sledding, hot cocoa and making Norwegian crafts.
“[There’s] It’s like a miniature and easy sledding hill for kids. So if your family has kids aged 10 or her 12, they might not be as thrilled, but it should be safe for our little friend. Great place to just come and ride with Santa and again on the carriage that cycles throughout downtown from 10pm to 2pm. The rides are free, so stop by Copper World’s Café Rosetta on the 100th block on Fifth Avenue and hop on. ”- Leah Polzin Executive Director Main Street Calumet
