A Crafty Crab server went viral after posting a clip of a manager telling her that all tips from customers go to the company.
Posted by TikToker Sabrina Hidemen (@brinabby7739) on December 27th, this video took place at the Crafty Club in Charlotte, North Carolina.
“Well, can I get a tip for the customer I serve?” she asked.
The manager showed her the receipt and told her the customer hadn’t tipped yet. He also doubted that Hidemen would receive a tip, claiming that they were not providing good service to their customers.
“His meal took a long time, so he asked to go get it, but you sat there and refused to make a drink,” the manager said.
“So if for some reason he decides to tip you, I’m sure he won’t. No, you won’t get it,” the manager continued. ‘s service is bad, so it goes to the company.”
“Unprofessional management and illegal behavior against employees,” Hidmen wrote in the caption.

As of December 28, the video has surpassed 1.9 million views. Many commentators supported the manager’s decision, stating that when Hidemen decided not to let customers have their drinks, Hidemen “refused service”.
“When she refused service, it became a customer of the company,” wrote one commenter.
“Did you refuse to make a drink??” Another question.
Others, however, noted that managers cannot legally receive Hidemen tips. We can only keep tips that we receive directly from our customers.”
In a follow-up video, Hidemen said her manager gave her own table to herself and then asked her to make drinks for the table she was no longer serving.
“I was like, ‘Okay, you took that table from me, so I can make drinks for that table,'” Hiddenmen said. “I think that made him angry.”
She went on to say she was told by the manager that if she left the last table she could “go home”. But after overhearing Hidemen telling her colleagues about her situation, her manager instead checked her out early.
“He switches the bar guests I already had to his name. So I was like, ‘So can’t I get a tip?'” she said. ‘ and I said, ‘Let’s say it on camera.'”
The Hidden Men said that was when she began recording the interactions seen in the first video. Did.
