Vanessa and Tom Baumann’s Les Riceys Imports brings three wines from Champagne Laurenti. All of these are made from Chardonnay and Pinot He Noir grown exclusively in Laurenti’s vineyards, Brut or dry style.
A sparkling pale golden color, the Grande Cuvée offers hints of citrus and orchard fruit, combined with a crisp, steely edge. The initial palate is sophisticated, but it is primarily made from Pinot Noir and has a firm, strong spine to support it.
Grand Cuvee Rosé is a rosé champagne bursting with fresh red fruit aromas and flavors. Adding just enough old vines from Pinot Noir gives the glass a unique coral color. Beautiful to look at and drink.
Grande Cuvée Tradition is a 50/50 blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, but its long aging in oak barrels has given it a deeper golden color and added flavor complexity. A fuller style with classic brioche aromas and flavors, it pairs well with richer holiday meals. It’s anti prosecco.
“Laurenti is a classic and elegant expression of Champagne, waiting to shine for the holiday season,” said Suzanne Wagner, wine director overseeing historic collections at Crystal Springs Resort and Restaurant Latour and most trusted palate. I am.”
These wines are available at the retail departments of Angelbeck’s Wine Merchants in Montclair, Morris Wine and Liquor in Morris Plains, and Crystal Springs Resort/Restaurant Latour in Hamburg.
