Lancashire Police have arrested a man for cutting one of his door mirrors while driving under the influence of nearly double the legal alcohol limit.

A drunk man overtook a police dog van in Lancaster and crashed into a wing mirror.

They were arrested and blew 62 people in custody, though the legal limit is 35.

Luckily, both dogs in the van were undisturbed by the crash and slept the entire time.

The dangerous driver was just one of 73 people arrested in the final week of the police’s drink and drug driving campaign, bringing the total to 298.

Police also arrested the driver who was driving the M6 ​​at 120 mph in bad weather.

The driver stopped and tested positive for drugs. He was also driving with two bald tires and one inflated and about to burst.

Another man sipped a can of beer before getting into his car. He was spotted on an M6 crossing the lane. He was stopped and blew 58 on the side of the road.

One driver was stopped on Preston’s Blackpool Road and was found to be driving under the influence of cannabis.
