Disney California Adventure is getting ready to party as the Disney 100 celebration arrives with a new line of booze including hard ice cream floats, tequila cocktails, watermelon margarita, spiked kombucha, bourbon lemonade, blueberry mead and locally brewed beer is ready.
Disneyland’s food and beverage team will be rolling out nearly 30 craft cocktails and beers on Monday, January 9, ahead of the Disney100 Party, which celebrates the 100th anniversary of Disney animation. Some of the beers and cocktails that debut Monday at DCA are part of a seasonal rotation that will replace the departing Christmas items after the holiday season ends on Sunday, January 8th.
The Disney 100 celebrations officially kick off on January 27th with new rides, fireworks shows and nightly spectaculars.
Disneyland famously served no alcohol to the general public for decades at the direction of the park’s founder, Walt Disney. Things changed when Edge opened. Disneyland has since added alcohol to the Blue Bayou in New Orleans Square. Prior to these changes, Private Club 33 was the only location serving alcohol at Disneyland.
Disney California Adventure has been serving alcohol since its debut in 2001, when Disneyland’s sister park was positioned as an adult-oriented alternative to Disney’s original Anaheim theme park. Each year DCA hosts several popular festivals focused on food, beer, wine and cocktails.
The full Disney 100 food and beverage menu for Disney California Adventure is expected to be announced closer to the start of the year-long celebration.
Here’s the full list of new alcoholic beverages debuting at DCA on Monday.
