Kombucha is a raw drink made from sweetened tea and a culture known as “SCOBY” (a symbiotic culture of bacteria and yeast). Fermentation naturally foams and is low in sugar. Kombucha is also rich in probiotics, live enzymes and antioxidants.

Whether this brew has proven health benefits is often debated, but the trendy drink is nonetheless considered a low-calorie, low-sugar alternative to soda. Kombucha has just 25 calories per serving, compared to 230 calories and four times the amount of sugar in the beverage.

Baba’s Bucha is handcrafted, brewed and served by the glass in small batches, using only fair trade organic ingredients and local, seasonal produce. This product is vegan, raw, gluten-free, and contains no artificial flavors or colors.

Solzano started the company inspired by her own ‘Baba’, from her great-grandmother who introduced her to kombucha when she was growing up in Siberia. Solzano came to the U.S. in her 2000 yearning for a taste of her hometown, so she began brewing her own kombucha and in 2015 began sharing it with the world through Bubba’s Bucha.
