A total of 4,300 drivers were placed on probation for DUI during the first four days of the New Year holidays (December 29th through January 1st).
Eleven others were given probation for reckless driving and 197 for driving under the influence of drugs.

People found to be at risk for alcoholism will be treated at Department of Public Health rehabilitation facilities.
Those found to be likely to repeat offenses are sent to camp for three days. During this period, they participated in providing public services, such as helping hospital medical staff to care for people injured in road accidents, and raised awareness of road safety.
